SINco de MIRO,  The Seventh Deadly Cinco

We are grateful to all who made our annual fundraiser possible. The money raised by the dance contestants and their supporters, over $14,000, enables us to keep working at what we love: teaching how the arts can be tool for empowerment and a base for positive change in individuals and communities.

We thank everyone for their enthusiasm and hard work.

Dancesport Academy students and SINco contestants Adam + Chandra, Alisa + Meredith, Caryl + Paul, Brett + Christina, and Christina + Juma all brought the house down with fabulous performances and creative costumes! Thanks so much to DanceSport for volunteering your time and training.

Thank you to our fabulous host, Elizabeth Coffey of John Waters films, and our guest judges, Aideen O’Malley of DanceSport Academy, the City Paper’s A.D. Amorosi, and Van Neistat of HBO’s The Neistat Brothers. Trophies were adorned with artwork by Miss Millie and we all danced to live music by TJ Kong and the Atomic Bomb.

We were so pleased to hold this event at the William Way Center again for a second year. Smiley and Breath of LIfe Catering brought the gluttony to our seven deadly sins theme! Contact smiley1010 “at” for more information.
